Often with first impressions, when we do not know someone, we make assumptions. We create wrong ideas, especially when we meet people that are not from our country, our culture and that do not speak our language.
In the first week of the induction we got to know the UK volunteers we are going to be working with in cycle 11. During the activities we found that the expectations we had of the UK volunteers (for example that they are fun, respectful, humble, friendly, eager to learn and sincere) were met. We also thought that they would be arrogant but it turned out to be the opposite.
We exchanged information about our culture, dancing and cuisine. We shared ideas and worked together, finding that the UK volunteers had a great attitude towards making friends and towards working on the ICS project with Progressio.

Conociendo a los voluntarios británicos
La primera impresión cuando no conocemos a alguien suponemos y creamos ideas erróneas mayormente cuando nos relacionaremos con personas que no son de nuestro país, de nuestra cultura y que no dominan nuestro idioma.
La primera semana en la inducción global conocimos a los voluntarios británicos con los que trabajaremos durante el ciclo 11 al compartir las actividades descubrimos que las expectativas como por ejemplo: divertidos, respetuosos, humildes, amables, con ganas de aprender y sinceros resultaron ser lo que esperábamos. También pensábamos que eran arrogantes pero fue todo lo contrario.
Intercambiamos cultura, bailes, cultura gastronómica, intercambios de ideas, trabajamos juntos, conocimos una buena aptitud de parte de los UK en relación a la amistad al buen apoyo en la labor que haremos con Progressio.
